Wow. What a day. The sun shone, the exotic machinery came out and lined the street, the people came, the day was a runaway success.

This was the first event organised by the reborn 'Hampton Street Traders Association' so we were out to impress. We couldn't have asked for more, everything from Aston Martin's, Ferrari's and Lamborghini's, Porsches, Rolls Royce's and Classic Muscle Cars all lined Hampton Street, we had over 90 cars, and more that turned up on the day (sorry guys, let us know in advance next yr!). In addition balloons, face painting, entertainment, food and music kept everyone busy. It was awesome to see such an incredible turn up of exotic cars, and such an uptake from the community. Some of the cars were incredibly rare (Lamborghini Muira, Aston Martin DBSZ, DB5, DB4, a Russian Volga, the list goes son...), and we are grateful that they made the appearance and kept dads, kids and families enthralled. All the cars owners were treated to a Hampton Street show bag and a very yummy breakky at Sebastian's Food and Wine. The response was so huge that we are looking to line the whole street all the way to South Road for next year.

The Peoples Choice Award was won by a stunning Mustang fastback owned by Peter Bouts, who took away a $500 dollar voucher courtesy of Coachman Menswear. The lucky Liz Elliot was drawn from the peoples votes, and won a $700 V8 drive day! Well done Liz.

The organisational logistics are substantial, however we had lots of comments on how well the event was run and organised. Next year we are looking for better traffic management and parking to ensure safety of all, and protection of the precious metal! See below for event gallery.
